Director Phillip Noyce to judge the 48 Hour Film Project in Vietnam

Award winning director Phillip Noyce has committed to become the guest international judge in the 48 Hour Film Project 2011 in Vietnam.

After recently visiting Vietnam to launch his new book “Backroad to Hollywood” and speaking with young Vietnamese film makers, he also spoke with Ross Stewart - producer of the 48HFP,  and has agreed to help decide which will be the Best 48HFP Films in Vietnam.

“This is an amazing opportunity for Vietnamese film makers to have their work assessed by a successful international director such as Phillip Noyce” explained Stewart. “It’s not only great for film makers but also for the Vietnamese film industry which is rapidly developing.”
Noyce is famous for films such as the recent blockbuster Salt, The Quiet American, The Bone Collector, Dead Calm and Patriot Games. Through these films he’s worked with actors like Harrison Ford, Denzel Washington and actresses Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman.
The 48 Hour Film Project will begin the 9th of September in Hanoi and the 14th of October in Ho Chi Minh City. For more information, go to http://www.facebook.com/48hourfilmVN or http://48.vivo.vn
